Kindle edition of The Geometry Code now available!
The long-awaited (at least by me :-) Kindle version of the book The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation is now available. Many thanks to all who have encouraged me to complete it, and all your support … so very appreciated! :-) BTW, if you prefer a ‘treeware’ (paperback) version, you can order it here. Here are abundant details about the book.
Just an FYI, even if you don’t have a Kindle, there are lots of other platforms you can read the Kindle version (or any Kindle book) on, including smartphones such as iPhone and iTouch, Android, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry, Windows and Macintosh computers, and tablets like iPad and Android tablet. Enjoy! :-)
Class: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws: Denver, CO Nov 5, 2012
On Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, from 7-9PM (Mountain Time) I’ll be giving an evening multimedia class/presentation: “Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation” at Shining Lotus Metaphysical Bookstore, 2178 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80222 I will share LOTS of visual multimedia imagery, animation and more, along with plenty of theory on the mystical underpinnings of sacred geometry, the seven ancient Hermetic laws of truth, take-home lessons from modern physics, and how the non-dual metaphysics of inclusion, kindness and forgiving our self-judgments is key to sustainable happiness! :-) There will be a book-signing after the class; both of my books, Sacred Geometry Design Sourcebook and The Geometry Code, are available from Shining Lotus Metaphysical Bookstore. Space is limited to 20 participants, so please contact me ASAP if you’re interested and want to pre-register.

Thanks to András N., who alerted me this
article on “Impractical Fractals? Mathematics-Inspired Silverware Set”.
Such shiny self-similar silverware (say that 6 times fast :-) is well described within the article:
The Infinity Set includes: “Cantor fork: now you can pin a single kiwi seed. Twice in a row. Recursive spoon: it will never let you spill a drop of soup. Ever. Koch knife: to delicately cut hair-thin slices out of an egg. A raw egg. The Infinity Set: the set includes itself. As a subset.”
Speaking of fractals, here’s a neat list of fractals (by Hausdorff dimension) from Wikipedia.
… and if you want to play around with fractals interactively, here’s a very cool online app by Toby Schachman… Try it out!
Thanks to Jonathan Nathaniel Bean for alerting me to this site!

Circle folding play with grandkids
Recently our grandkids Arianna (pictured with the tetrahedral fractal on her head; we later added a nested octahedron inside the 4 tetrahedra) and Nicholas were here for some (paper plate) circle folding practice. We went through some of the exercises/shapes from the Series Book 1 of Bradford Hansen-Smith’s Explore Folding of the Circle which includes the five platonic solids, three primary polyhedra (including a spherical version of Bucky Fuller’s vector equilibrium a.k.a. cuboctahedron) and ‘one principled pattern.’
His excellent books provide both the theory and background for teachers and/or home-schoolers, as well as lots of inspiration to explore further. Here is an example photo and illustration from that first geometric exercise book.
Check out last month’s bulletin for more about Bradford Hansen-Smith’s superb videos, books and website.

Colleague Michael Schneider has a new, lavishly illustrated and animated DVD: Constructing The Universe: A Journey From 1 to 12 which I just watched in its entirety… brilliant, yet very easy to follow and clearly explained, beginning at the bare basics and culminating in compelling cosmologies. Each of the first 12 counting numbers receives a first class tour through realms mundane to mystical, deepening our appreciation of numbers and their geometric interconnections from many disciplines, traditions, and perspectives. I always learn something new and interesting from his work. I highly recommend it!
I also frequently recommend his classic book A Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe: Mathematical Archetypes of Nature, Art, and Science as an excellent companion (with complementary approaches) to SGDS for those new to the study and exploration of sacred or mystical geometry.
Here’s an example photo taken from our TV screen (the actual image quality is MUCH better) showing how nested circles defined by a dodecagram and an equilateral triangle compose the geometry of the classic labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral.

Recent presentations/workshops
Thanks to Judy Kitt, all the resourceful, helpful staff of FMBR (Foundation for Mind-Being Research) who hosted my Sacred Geometry presentation in Palo Alto, CA, (July 27, 2012) and a workshop the following day, and all who attended! As soon as the video(s) of the presentation are made available, I’ll post them on the site.
Thanks also to Scott Bultman and all attendees of the 2012 Froebel USA Conference in San Francisco where I gave a (multimedia) presentation on The Geometry of Interconnectedness and Inclusion which included some new imagery and insights not given publicly before in prior presentations. As soon as the video(s) of that presentation are made available, I’ll post them on the site, also.
Bradford Hansen-Smith … and Red Hen Books and Toys
RedHen Books and Toys (headed up by Scott Bultman who invited me to the Froebel Conference mentioned above) offers many unique, hard-to-find educational materials, toys and books such as Bradford Hansen-Smith’s circle folding videos, books and supplies.
I had the (long-awaited) pleasure of hearing a presentation by Bradford at the Froebel Conference, as well as participating in an experiential hands-on demo-workshop of his superb circle folding work. Highly recommended for geometers, as well as parents, educators, home-schoolers, and anyone wanting to rekindle their enthusiasm for how something as simple as paper plates (an economical way to experiment quickly) can be a tool to impart an entire philosophy of wholeness. Check out Bradford’s website (with introductory video) and his extensive gallery of folded-circle creations, …
… and cool videos about folded-circle creations. If you know ‘kids’ that like to play with ‘transformer’ toys, have them watch the last video in particular on this page and get very inspired! Exquisite morphi-gami! If you find these inspiring, make sure you click on the 5 FaceBook video links at the bottom of the page, too!

Colleague Michael Schneider has a new DVD: Constructing The Universe: A Journey From 1 to 12 which is on it’s way to me as I type this. I’ll review this sure-to-be-wonderful DVD in an upcoming installment of this bulletin.
I frequently recommend his classic book A Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe: Mathematical Archetypes of Nature, Art, and Science as an excellent companion (with complementary approaches) to SGDS for those new to the study and exploration of sacred geometry.
Karen Carty has some lovely fine art inspired by sacred geometry and a page devoted to it’s art/science.
Vandorn Hinnant’s LightWeavings website also has some superb sacred geometry-inspired fine art. Check out Vandorn’s gallery 1.
I particularly like the “Root Three Fractal SpiralGram 15” art made from nested equilateral triangles rotated 90 degrees in each fractal recursion: “The Truest I/Eye”. Black Art in America features Hinnant’s work here with a slide show.
Transcendence Design has some neat art based on Flower of Life tessellation (a.k.a. tiling, grid, or space-filling shapes).
